There are many different hair types, and each requires its own special care. If you have curly hair, for example, you will need to use a curl-friendly shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is thick, you will need to use a thicker shampoo and conditioner. If you have fine hair, you will need to use a lightweight product that won’t weigh it down. No matter what type of hair you have, it is important to take good care of it to ensure that it looks its best at all times.
Fine Hair – This hair type is usually thin and doesn’t grow quickly. It is also very fragile and easily breaks. People with fine hair want their hair to look as healthy and shiny as possible. In general, people with fine hair are looking for products that will help them control frizz and leave their hair looking soft and shiny. These products should be lightweight and gentle on the hair, as they are designed to cleanse the hair without causing any damage. There are two main problems with fine hair: the first is that it tends to look flat and lifeless; the second is that it has a tendency to get greasy easily.
Frizzy/unruly hair is extremely common in those with fine hair, as well as those with straight hair. Frizz-fighting shampoos are made to help with this problem by reducing frizz and making the hair easier to manage.
Medium-Fine Hair - Generally straight, but with a noticeable wave when wet or damp. This type of hair usually has a fuller appearance than fine hair and is less likely to break or split easily. However, it is still easy to manage and has natural volume that looks beautiful when it is styled properly.
Medium to Fine Hair is made of strands that are neither too fine nor too thick. It is moderately thick and smooth and tends to be a little wavy in texture. It is usually fairly soft to the touch and has some natural body to it. This type of hair is relatively easy to manage and looks wonderful when it is styled correctly.
1) Brush your hair -- Run a brush through the ends of your hair gently while in the shower or after a shower. Pay close attention to the texture of your hair and the thickness in different areas of the scalp. This will help you to determine how coarse or fine your hair is.
2) Put your hair up -- If you are trying a new style that calls for ponytails or buns, use an elastic headband or similar accessory to hold the style in place overnight so that you will be able to observe how the style looks the following day. Make sure that you do not sleep on it as the elastic can damage your hair over time.
If the hair is fine, the ends may feel extremely silky and smooth. Usually this type of hair is straight but can be wavy or curly depending on the person's natural texture. If it looks and feels like the tip ends have damage, it may be a sign that you are over-processing your hair with heat tools too often.
If the hair is medium fine, it may have a straight texture but may have some waves or curls in the tips. If the ends of the hair look unhealthy or damaged, this may mean that you are using the same styling techniques too often or using the wrong products on your hair.
