Bronde is not a relatively new concept in the hair and beauty industry. It’s been floating around for a while but was upstaged by ombre or balayage for a long time. But things have changed and more women are giving it attention, especially after famous blondie Blake Lively switched to bronde! But Blake isn’t alone- other famous celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Cara Delevigne, and many others have been opting for the chestnut-hued blend for their hair colour! And it has been around way before that with the likes of Lily Aldridge and Gisele Bundchen.

If you are thinking of switching things up this season with a new hair colour, bronde is the colour to be! It is a happy medium between brown and blonde, hence the name bronde.

It complements tanned skin really well.

This hair colour is great for women with tanned skin. It makes you look like you spent all day at the beach soaking up the sun with the sunlight causing a lightened effect to your hair.

It makes your pale skin luminous.

As much as bronde is flattering for women with tanned skin, it also looks great if you have naturally pale skin. The colour of the hair reflects on your face or skin, which gives it a healthy glow and some colour.

It emphasizes the beauty of your eyes.

Since the colour is bright without being too bright, it makes your face highly visible, especially your eyes. Whether you have small or large eyes, they become a prominent feature of your face.

It is perfect with loose waves.

If you’ve always dreamed of mimicking your favourite supermodel’s hairstyle, then combining bronde hair with loose or subtle waves can make that happen. It is chic and effortless looking too!

It flatters all face shapes.

The brown streaks or highlights on the lighter base mimic a lot of movement for your hair. Therefore, it is suited for all face shapes.

How to Tell if Bronde is Right For You?

Before you go to the salon and ask for this colour, it is important to know that this colour is best suited for women who are naturally blonde. This does not mean that those with brown hair or brunette cannot get this colour. However, expert hairstylists believe that working on a lighter base makes the colour seem more natural and pop even more!

If you are to go bronde, though, you should start small. Opt for soft honey or caramel hues at your first session. Then, you can eventually go for lighter hues, if that is what you want to go with. It is also important to consider your skin tone. You can ask your hairstylist for a recommendation on the right hue to suit your skin tone. Beginners are recommended not to stay too far away from their natural hair colour base, though.

Will you be jumping on the bronde bandwagon this season?
