How to Change Your Natural Part

For the longest time, middle parts had been seen as a less-than-exciting take on your hairstyle. It is the most prevalent type of natural hair parting and we’ve seen a lot of women vary things up to liven up their look. Therefore, you need to take cues from fashion runways to sport a different part other than the one you are born with. Changing up your part is indeed a simple, instant and inexpensive way to sport a new look (as opposed to flaunting a new hair colour or cut).

Beautiful sensual young woman with bare shouldersThe first step you need to do once you have decided to get a new part is to use a styling gel. When your hair has stuck to the same part for a long period of time, hair tends to fall flat on your head following the same direction. Therefore, you need to use a styling gel in order to get your hair to cooperate and fight that stubborn cowlick. Use a strong gel and apply it to the root section. Make sure you do this while hair is still wet so it sticks to the new direction as it dries.

Once the gel is on the root, you need to direct the hair to where you want the new part to form. Take out a blow dryer and use medium tension. Focus the blow drying action on the root area (same as where you applied the gel). You can also use a fine-tooth comb to create the new shape for your part. The gel will help hold the new part in place once it dries completely.
